Takai Mine Karate/Tae Kwon Do was opened in 1985, in Albuquerque, NM and provides Martial Arts classes for Men, Women, and Children. Our school offers group as well as private lessons six days a week. There are classes offered for every individual from our Little Griffen Program from 4 years of age, to Children’s Classes, Adult’s classes, and Family classes. We teach Four Styles of Martial Arts: Tae Kwon Do, Shoto kan, Shorin-Ryu and Majai Pai Escrima. Along with Martial Arts training, students learn respect, honesty, self-discipline, self-defense, trust, and physical fitness. The main school is located in Albuquerque, NM AT 1027 Juan Tabo NE. Master Chavez is a long time veteran of the Martial Arts with over 35 years of experience. She has a MBA, Masters in Business Administration. She holds the rank of 6th Degree (Dan) and is Kukkiwon certified in Korea. She holds the rank of 3rd level red shirt under Grandmaster Dan Medina. She was Inducted to Martial Arts Hall of Fame in November 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a very well-known competitor and a very sought after instructor. Some students travel over 130 miles each way to train with her.
